Description
Zen Hostel is situated downtown in the heart of Gainesville, Florida. All of the things that a traveler might want are available: beds, both private and dorm, shared kitchen and shared bath. We are glad to also provide directions and information about Gainesville and the surrounding area, which is noted for music, its natural beauty, rivers, lakes and springs, canoeing, swimming, hiking, and biking.
Gainesville has an excellent public bus system to serve the needs of the 50,000 college students who live here. The central bus terminal is three blocks from the Zen Hostel. Gainesville is a bike friendly town with designated bike routes in the city and easy access to bike paths leading into the countryside. The public library is four blocks away, as is the downtown plaza.

The Zen Hostel offers private rooms and dormitory rooms for out of town travelers.
We have four private rooms plus a women’s dorm and a men’s dorm, all air-conditioned.
